The York Rite of Freemasonry also offers "chair degrees" open only to present and past presiding officers of each body. In the Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor, Sir Knight Reese L. Harrison, Jr., Past Commander of San Antonio Commandery No. 7, served as the Preceptor of the Texas Chapter of the Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor in 2000-2001 and as the Sovereign Grand Preceptor of the Sovereign Grand Chapter from 2003-2007. In San Antonio, Bexar County Freemasonry (including contiguous counties) there have been nine Freemasons honored with the 33° of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, the Order of the Purple Cross of the York Rite of Freemasonry, and the Knight York Cross of Honour of the York Rite of Freemasonry [Harrison (Albert Pike No. 1169, Cibolo No. 151), Nowotny (Albert Pike No. 1169), Young (Perfect Union No. 10), Sinco (Albert Pike No. 1169), Parsons (New Braunfels No. 1109), Estlack (Patterson No. 1177, Helotes No. 1429), Jett (Perfect Union No. 10, Cibolo No. 151), Gallion (New Braunfels No. 1109), and Garza (Valley-Hi No. 1407, Alamo No. 44)]. Three of these nine Freemasons are members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199. Members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge who have received all three honors are as follows:
The Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas, the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas and the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas all operate with a system of District Deputies. A number of members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have been appointed as Right Worshipful District Deputy Grand Master in the Grand Lodge as noted above. Four members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199, who have been appointed Right Worshipful District Deputy Grand Master in the Grand Lodge of Texas have also been appointed Right Excellent District Deputy Grand High Priest in the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas and as Right Illustrious District Deputy Grand Master in the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas, while other members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have been appointed as Right Excellent District Deputy Grand High Priest in the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas and/or as Right Illustrious District Deputy Grand Master in the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Texas, all as follows:
In the Masonic Societas Rosicruciana In Civitatibus Foederatis (Masonic Rosicrucians), members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have distinguished themselves and honored the Lodge by having been received invitational membership in Texas College. Membership in the Masonic Rosicrucians is predicated on the recipient being a Master Mason and a Christian. Membership is limited to 72 members in each college. In the Order of the Red Cross of Constantine, members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have distinguished themselves and honored the Lodge by having received invitational membership as a Constantinian Knight. Membership in the Constantine is predicated on the recipient being a Royal Arch Mason, and in St. Anthony Conclave No. 50 on being both a Knight Templar in the York Rite of Freemasonry and a 32° Scottish Rite Mason. Membership is limited to 50 Constantinian Knights in St. Anthony Conclave No. 50. Lodge members who are Constantinian Knights are as follows:
Knight Companion Reese L. Harrison, Jr., served the United Grand Imperial Council as Illustrious Intendent General for the Division of Texas Southern from August 12, 1986, through June 2, 2001, and as Illustrious Grand Marshal for the year 1998-1999 and is a Past Most Illustrious Grand Sovereign serving in the year 2006-2007. Knight Companion Harrison received the dignities of Knight Commander of Constantine on June 5, 1998, and of Knight Grand Cross on June 10, 2006. In the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests, members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have distinguished themselves and honored the Lodge by having received invitational membership as a Knight Templar Priest. Membership in the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests is predicated on the recipient being a Past Commander of a Commandery of Knights Templar. Harrison, Jr., is a Past Assistant Grand Marshal (2007) and a Past Grand Cellarer of the Grand Master's Council of the Commemorative Order of St. Thomas of Acon serving in 2005-2007 and is the Provincial Grand Prior of the Grand Preceptor's Council of the Province of the United States of America since 2005. In the Order of Knights, Eagles and Tigers (OKET), an appendant Order of the Order of Quetzalcoatl, members of DeMolay Masonic Lodge No. 199 have distinguished themselves and honored the Lodge by being Consecrated a High Pontiff in the Order of Knights Eagles and Tigers, the highest honor a Teocalli of the Order of Quetzalcoatl may confer upon one of its members.
